It's a time of renewal. You can feel it in the air. Here are some ways to create positive energy for yourself or others.

Antoine de Saint-Exupery Napoleon once said that leaders are dealers in hope. Unfortunately, so many business leaders have abused that notion. Morale continues to remain dismal in most companies and employee surveys reveal three disturbing trends:  nobody trusts, workers don’t believe senior management and employees are too stressed out to care. Problems with trust, belief and caring. We refer to these dynamics as a crisis of Faith, Hope and Charity. Corporate America is facing a spiritual problem as much as a fiscal one. So, maybe it’s not all that surprising that the job of today’s executive is as much spiritual as it is managerial. -------------------------------- So, what can you control? How about the conversation you have about yourself. What kind of self-talk are you having and does it help you and your self-confidence? I once saw Paul Newman in a TV interview say that he always had the fear that one day someone would push through the crowd, grab him by the arm, and say, “It’s over Newman. It was all a mistake. You’re coming back to paint houses.”  I understood exactly what he meant. He was describing the underlying fear that you don’t deserve your success and/or that someone is going to discover that you are a fraud.
