- I can’t get ahead because of…(divorce, downsizing, whatever). Things keep happening to me.
- I will never succeed because I’m too old/too young.
- I don’t have enough money or education.
- Nothing else has ever worked out before, so it won’t now.
- I’d change my life if I could, but I’m stuck where I am.
